Pam Marron Home Lending

Letter to Senate Banking Committee Regarding Necessity of Credit Code for Past Short Sellers

Date: Dec. 17, 2012

TO:  Senate Banking Committee members

cc: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

I believe there is a major issue regarding credit reporting that is severely affecting the mortgage and housing industries.  This issue needs to be addressed in your Dec. 19 hearing, and I have serious concerns that it will not be.

My name is Pam Marron, and as a mortgage loan originator working in Tampa Bay, Florida for 27 years, I have seen the good and bad of the housing industry through several cycles.  For the past two years, I have tried to help underwater homeowners stay in their homes with HARP refinances and past short sellers re-enter the housing market with a new mortgage. I have proof of a major problem with the way the credit reporting industry documents short sales that I would like to present to you…

Thanks to  the office of U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) for helping me to get this to Dec. 19th meeting…
